The British School of Bahrain is committed to providing a high quality, international education for expatriate and local students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We are a selective, coeducational, independent Nursery-through-Year 13 school. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, with some adaptations to the local context. We are a truly international school and our students and staff come from a wide variety of backgrounds.  Our students are a joy to teach.

We are proud to employ teachers with specialist knowledge, excellent qualifications and an outstanding reputation:

  • Excellent knowledge of subject content and pedagogy
  • A Bachelor of Education degree, PGCE and/or the equivalent
  • Experience of teaching up to A-Level (for Secondary Teachers)
  • Previous teaching experience in a high-performing international school, including preparing students for Oxbridge, is an advantage.
  • UK teaching qualification and experience
